The red lip just won't go away at the moment, with actresses at the Bafta awards managing to reinvent the trend once more, perhaps offering inspiration to all those girls out there considering intensive makeup courses.
Many ladies would no doubt love to know how to achieve the striking look, worn to perfection by Claire Danes and Audrey Tautou at Sunday night's awards ceremony.
Instead of opting for the nude lip which has been so popular of late, with plenty of neutral shades being on show at London Fashion Week, they went bold with their own take on the scarlet pout.
Leanne Bayley, writing for Elle magazine, commented: "Audrey, who could have happily got away with a nude lip, smoky eye combo for the night, instead opted for a red lip with coral undertones to set off her pretty pink Lanvin dress."
Women may be motivated to go on intensive makeup courses so that they too can learn about such inspired colour matching.
