Baby boomers want age-defying treatments
Baby boomers want age-defying treatments More baby boomers are turning to cosmetic treatments to halt the ageing process, the Express has revealed to beauty school students.

Older women are opting for beauty treatments such as fake tanning, cosmetic surgery and teeth whitening, which beauty school students may wish to use on older clients.

The Mail Online said that females over the age of 50 are five times more likely to wear padded bras than their mothers were when they were the same age. Over 50s also use more fake tan than their mothers.

Research by Saga Magazine also revealed that of those surveyed over 60 per cent thought their appearances were judged more than those of past generations were.

According to the Mail Online, Emma Soames, of Saga Magazine, said: "The over-50s are clearly taking matters into their own hands and using every method possible to remain as young looking as possible."

According to the Office for National statistics, the number of people in Britain aged 65 plus is set to increase, meaning that beauty school students may be working with older clients more often.
