Beauty school students: Follow the colour blocking trend
Beauty school students: Follow the colour blocking trend Ladies looking to learn make-up tips have been advised of the latest trend for colour blocking.

Look magazine said that this style also works for make-up as well as outfits and has been shown at spring/summer 2011's catwalk shows.

"This one's all about strong lines, so forget blending and get painting. Now that's what we call art attack!" the news source said.

Those looking to learn make-up techniques may want to seek inspiration from the Loewe spring/summer 2011 show where a model was spotted with vivid orange eye make-up and her lips coloured in an orangey-red shade. The rest of her face appeared bare and her hair was scraped into a low ponytail, assuring that all attention was on her colourful eye make-up.

The colour blocking trend was also evident at Dior's spring/summer 2011 show, where a model wore sky blue eye make-up and pink lips. Blue was again used for a model's eye make-up at the Louise Gray show.

In addition, designer Roksanda Illinic told the Express and Star that people are going for this trend as a deliberate move away from the neutral tones that have been popular.
