Ladies who are looking to learn make-up tips will be interested to hear of next season's trend for statement lips.
Look magazine said: "From plum to cherry, the key is to let your lips make an impact."
At the recent Gucci autumn/winter 2011 show a model was picture wearing dark burgundy lips, teamed with lashes of mascara and an otherwise neutral face. She also had her hair in a slick side parting and tied back, accompanied by barely there eyebrows.
Those who are looking to learn make-up techniques have also been told that over at Yves Saint Laurent's autumn/winter 2011 show, one model was given deep purple lips and bushy eyebrows with the rest of her face left bare. She too had her hair slicked down and in a side parting.
The trend for statement lips was also continued at the Jill Sander autumn/winter 2011 show, where one model strutted down the catwalk with bright red lips teamed with turquoise eyeshadow.
Beauty school students may want to achieve statement lips with the help of Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Volupte Lipstick in No 15, a startling shade of orange, Style.com suggested.
