Beauty therapy students: Healthy skin needs essential fats
Beauty therapy students: Healthy skin needs essential fats Those on beauty therapy courses have been offered some advice to pass on to clients so that they can keep their skin healthy.

Louise Thomas-Minns, a skin therapist, said that people who want to have a healthy epidermis must consume essential fats.

She explained: "Essential fats are a must for healthy skin. They are vital to strengthen the cell membrane to keep nutrients in and toxins out."

Those on beauty therapy courses may want to advise clients to eat more sardines, mackerel and salmon, as well as raw seeds and nuts.

She also pointed out that people can develop rosacea and acne later on in life as a result of stress, as it results in insulin release and hormone imbalances.

In addition, a recent Simple poll revealed that women are experiencing skin problems as a result of becoming stressed over the increasing cost of living and job insecurity. Furthermore, the poll also found that one in 20 women had skins problems caused by recession stress and called in sick at work as a result.
