Recent research has found that pasty white skin is a no-no when it comes to going abroad and bearing all, which is why men and women are resorting to some last-minute beauty treatments to get a tan before they jet off.
The study conducted by London Gatwick Airport found that 32 per cent dread stripping off and baring their lilywhite skin, while 56 per cent said having a pre-bronzed body would help them to feel more confident on their first outing to the beach.
This trend is even stretching into the male radar, with four in ten also panicking about exposing their skin, but the research also found that despite these woes, 82 per cent said they had never had a spray tan.
Women and men should be considering beauty treatments to prepare their skin for the air travel, a report by HelloMagazine.com recently said, explaining that the relative humidity can dehydrate skin.
