Achieving the perfect holiday skin is a problem area for many women with the varied and bemusing array of beauty treatments on offer.
Recent research from Mira Showers found more than half of British women spend £150 on making sure they look their best before taking a trip to the beach.
However, beauty journalist Tricia Welch said that finding the right cosmetics for a holiday doesn't have to cost the earth, and there are likely many items in the bathroom cabinet which can be used on a summer holiday.
"What we're trying to do here is to say, 'look, you really don't have to spend that money to look great on the beach'," she added.
Key areas which should be addressed before jetting off, however, include cellulite, which can be tackled using a body brush, feet and body hair, which should be dealt with 48 hours before the holiday begins.
A body scrub will also ensure that skin is healthy and glowing.
