The number of people travelling abroad to have nips and tucks is on the rise, according to new statistics.
Studies have been conducted by specialist currency broker, Currencies.co.uk, and found that an increasing number of Britons are booking flights in order to have cosmetic dentistry or procedures such as IVF carried out.
The research also found that one in twenty people have either been abroad recently or are making plans to travel abroad in order to have a procedure and the main reason is to cut down on costs.
Stephen Hughes, director of Currencies.co.uk said: "Going abroad for medical treatment is becoming increasingly popular for a number of reasons, not least because of the huge savings that can be achieved."
According to the firm, people looking for beauty treatments such as cosmetic surgery could save as much as £4,000.
Last month it was revealed that the nation was willing to fork out as much as £4.77 million in loans to pay for cosmetic surgery.
