When it comes to finding the best beauty buys, those thinking of going on fast track make-up courses could do worse than to follow the advice of InStyle magazine.
Each year, the publication produces a list of the Best Beauty Buys for its May issue.
Beauty director Amy Synnott-D'Annibale has picked out her highlights from the list for Access Hollywood, with examples to suit all budgets.
When it comes to foundation, one of the best products on offer is L'Oreal's True Match formula, according to the expert.
"Available in a whopping 24 shades, this sheer, highly blendable base absorbs instantly into any skin tone, flawlessly masking minor imperfections," she explained.
Those considering fast track make-up courses that want to go high end could buy Diorshow mascara, which is a staple in celebrity cosmetic bags, Ms Synnott-D'Annibale added.
Melissa Magsaysay, writing for the LA Times, recently recommended Kiehl's Super Fluid UV defense SPF 50 as a great lightweight foundation for summer.
