Beauty courses may be teaching students how to achieve trends such as bold eyebrows and two-tone lips, which are said to be two of next season's key looks.
Zara Stone Rabinowicz, freelance beauty editor of Kiss and Makeup.tv, described how it is possible to make catwalk styles "office-friendly", in time for spring/summer 2012.
She explained that the best way to incorporate trends into work beauty regimes is to interchange fashions rather than wear them all at once.
"You can make these look office-friendly by wearing them in small doses - a bright lip one day, but never at the same time as a bold eye," Ms Rabinowicz stated.
"Geocentric eye designs" were described as on-trend, while ponytails are set to be "high and slicked back", with structure a key look.
According to Vogue writer Jessica Hogan, colourful makeup is set to make a comeback next season, with splashes of bright shades popular on recent catwalks.
