Bold, disco-era looks return for makeup school students to recreate
Bold, disco-era looks return for makeup school students to recreate Makeup school students who like to create a bold look will be pleased to learn that disco era-inspired styles are back with a bang this year.

MAC's director of makeup artistry Terry Barber told Stylist magazine that the key to creating this look is to apply bold blocks of colour that have an injection of cool.

"The skin is flawless and has a creamy finish that's dewy and fresh," he explained.

Barber used pink and gold tones for the eyes to create the look for the magazine, combining these with a heavily-applied rose blusher and coral lips for all-out glamour.

"I played the colours off each other in a modern way, taking the blush high up to the eye with a flash of juicy coral-red on the lips," he told the publication.

Makeup school students may also want to steal some style secrets from top professionals by closely observing the looks created for A-listers on the red carpet this awards season.
