Make up school students have been told of the dangers of allowing young women to have Botox injections.
Skincare expert Dr Sean Lanigan of Ski:n explained that the company will not be offering this beauty treatment to anyone under the age of 25, because it will only work for women who already have wrinkles.
Instead, he told make up schoolstudents to focus on moisturisers and natural skincare routines to achieve healthy-looking skin and also as a preventative measure.
"Simply using a moisturiser, ensuring that you carry out an effective skin routine and avoiding excess exposure to UV light by avoiding sunbeds or prolonged sunbathing can do far more to prevent the appearance of wrinkles than pre-emptive Botox," he suggested.
Mr Lanigan added that the rise in young women looking to use Botox is a result of the celebrity culture and the mentality that only flawless skin is acceptable.
Primer was recently listed as a top product by Mac's senior artist Caroline Donnelly to help skin look better in its "untouched state".
