Bright colours are no longer reserved for use on catwalk models and are becoming favoured on the high street, good news for all you ambitious make up school students out there!
If a report from the New York Times is anything to go by, you won't just have to stick to taupes and beiges, but will be able to play with bright shades.
"We are seeing a lot of experimental techniques and colors going on in fashion for sure," Gordon Espinet, vice-president of make up artistry for MAC Cosmetics, told the newspaper.
"Everybody is sick of the idea of being safe all the time, and being predictable," he said, adding that a lot of women "in the real world" are taking chances with their looks.
So if you're a make up school student you can get colour happy with some of the fantastic shades that are available at the moment.
Make up school students may also want to stock up on candy colours as these have been identified as a hot trend for 2010 by various commentators.
