The colourful smoky eye will be a top trend for this season, so women may want to enrol on fast track makeup courses to be able to create this look.
Celebrity makeup stylist Greg Wencel told Canwest News Service that the prominent shades for the coming season will be matte lilac, turquoise, tropical green, gold and bronze.
These can then be used to create the colourful smoky eye, a trend which has also recently been identified by Hilary Mantel.
In an article for the Guardian, she said that women can use purple and pink to modernise the smoky eye, or go for colours with a metallic glint.
Mr Wencel told Canwest News Service that the new CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast double-ended cream sticks are good products to use to create this look, so those considering fast track makeup courses may want to invest in these.
"They give the eyes a radiant look and they are really easy to blend," he said.
