Coral lipstick: For work and play
Coral lipstick: For work and play Budding makeup school students are likely to be required to produce looks for work and play, so it is important to know how to get the distinction between these styles right.

Amy Verner, writing for the Globe and Mail, said there are some trends that fall into the grey area between work and play, allowing people to have fun with their office look.

This spring it is the orange lip, which budding makeup school students will have already encountered on the catwalks, with the likes of Proenza Schouler and Prada shows featuring coral pouts.

Ms Verner said you may want to tone it down for the office a bit, opting for cantaloupe or papaya-coloured lipstick rather than all-out orange.

"Whatever shade or finish you choose, keep all other makeup to a minimum, except perhaps for a dusting of bronzer to play up the sun-kissed glow," she recommended.

Makeup artist Napoleon Perdis recently told the Huffington Post that dabbing a light shade of concealer on the outer corners of the mouth is a trick for creating a lifting effect to make it look like you're smiling all the time.
