If you're considering enrolling on intensive makeup courses then you may be fascinated by what goes into cosmetics, and you are not alone.
According to Lisa Morrison, marketing assistant for Benefit, lots of people are interested in the science behind makeup at the moment.
"There is a lot of interest in the ingredients, what's got staying power and what's going to be beneficial to them," she explained.
Apart from paying attention to the composition of cosmetics, makeup fanatics are also going for fresh-faced, flawless looks, Ms Morrison said.
"We are seeing lots of pinks and shimmery colours in the eyes," she added, which you've probably noticed already if you're considering enrolling on intensive makeup courses.
Some of the trends from autumn and winter are also continuing through to the spring and summer, with purples, midnight blues and deep greens being used to create smoky eyes.
Ms Morrison was speaking at The Vitality Show, a consumer event for women on health, beauty, fitness, wellbeing and healthy eating.
