Many people perhaps dream of working at the Oscars and a fashion and media make-up course could get them there.
For now though, the man behind the stars' looks at the 2010 Academy Awards, head make-up artist Bruce Grayson, shares his tricks of the trade.
"Fabulous make-up starts with a flawless canvas," he said, recommending Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, which "delivers the perfect level of pigment".
Mr Grayson suggested using the Giorgio Armani Foundation Brush to apply the product. Short, quick strokes are the best technique for this, an invaluable piece of advice for anyone thinking of taking a fashion and media make-up course.
Soft blush in a pink or peach shade should then be used to add dimension to the face and cheeks, he said.
The smoky eye is likely to be a staple of a fashion and media make-up course and Mr Grayson named this as a key feature of the Oscar-worthy look.
As for the lips, prepping the pout with a conditioner hydrates the skin and ensures the colour remains in place for longer, he added.
If you're thinking of taking a fashion and media make-up course then it is unlikely to have escaped your notice that this year's Oscars saw plenty of natural looks and nude lips, following the catwalk trends.
