Glittery eyes are set to be a key Christmas party trend, according to one makeup artist, who described how to create the effect.
No7 consultant Sam Grieve explained in an article for STV how sparkling shadows can "make your peepers pop, giving a truly stunning look".
It was suggested the trend is easy to apply, which may be good news for those planning to go straight from work to a party.
Ms Grieve explained how ladies should first apply their basic daytime makeup, before adding purple shadow to the eyes.
The next step is to add a silver shade to the inner eye and finish off with silver sparkly eyeliner for a "dazzling" look.
Finally, Ms Grieve recommended applying a neutral lip colour in order to avoid detracting from the eyes.
To add extra drama to the look, ladies may want to incorporate another trend in the form of an eyeliner flick at the outer corner.
