If you're thinking of going on intensive makeup courses then you may want to get a head start by following an expert's tips for applying lipstick that lasts.
Saks beauty guru Kirsty Jewson said that the first step towards enduring colour is to exfoliate the lips to ensure they are not dry.
Following that, those considering intensive makeup courses should remember to apply a primer to give the lipstick something to cling to.
"Next, apply concealer around the lip line as this will help to prevent bleeding. Try and apply a lip liner in a neutral colour, then apply the lipstick with a lip brush and build up the colour," Ms Jewson said.
She recommended using mineral rice setting powder from Youngblood to hold the lipstick in place and keep it looking great all day.
Ms Jewson also suggested using a little gloss to keep the pout looking healthy.
If Chanel execs are anything to go by, you'll want to learn how to apply lipstick as they have suggested that women will ditch gloss this year.
