When a bride walks down the aisle all eyes are on her and the last thing she wants is to be worrying about her make up.
Brides Kate Middleton and Kate Moss have offered some great inspiration for bridal make up recently, setting the trend for bold eyes which is likely to continue throughout 2011.
Make up artist Ana Ospina has now shared her trade secrets with those looking to learn make up and create a look fitting of the biggest day of their client's life.
To ensure a photo perfect finish, she recommended applying a primer to the lid before the eyeshadow.
"My favourites are Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion or Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat or Linen," she said.
Eyebrows should be defined with a smudge of shadow or pencil, before a cream eyeshadow is applied as a base on the lids.
Black eyeliner should then be "generously" applied to the lash line and blended, before the browbone is highlighted with a cream-coloured eyeshadow and lashings of mascara are applied.
Make up artist Brad Boles previously told Focusonstylr.com that It Cosmetics' My Sculpted Face Palette contained a great matte powder, which is perfect for skin which is going to be photographed.
