Those on intensive makeup course have been told to dabble with metallics when it comes to eyeshadows.
Daisy Shaw, writing for Allure The Beauty Expert blog, explained that it takes a certain kind of woman to get away with the trend, but it is definitely something that should be tried and tested.
She recommended eyelids dripping in rich gold shadow as a top look for intensive makeup course trainees, but said not to shy away from the vibrant colours currently on offer.
"Don't wimp out with safe bronze or pale copper—try pure gold, like Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Busy Signal, smeared on from the lashes to the crease," she said.
The look is best teamed with nude lips, so as not to overpower the face, and Ms Shaw's top nude lipstick was Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 for a superglossy natural lip colour perfect for the 'sex kitten' look.
