Makeup school students will no doubt be aware that autumn's shades are mirroring the weather - dark, grungy and moody - this season is all about embracing the darkness.
This is a style that seems to have gathered pace since Scarlett Johansson graced the billboards a couple of months ago, in that gorgeous rock chick D&G campaign, and according to Stylist, black-cherry tones are a must-have for the perfect pout.
Annabel Meggeson, writing for the news source has explained that whilst classic red was a big hit on the catwalk, this has changed to reflect the seasons - the darker the better.
"Apply product straight from the bullet with your fingers for a stained, kissed-off look," she told makeup school students.
Others trends crying out to be recreated have to be lived-in lashes in a Bardot style, multi-toned eyes and the feverish cheeks look, which is achieved by mimicking the colour of freshly-pinched cheeks.
