Having been created in Korea, Masqueology claims its paper masks offer results individuals would normally only see from professional spa treatments.

The product costs $24 (£15) for a set of three and is set to be available in the US from March.

According the company behind the innovation, it is aimed at those who have little free time, as it is quick and simple to use, but still provides effective results.

Beauty Architects chief financial officer Phillip Ha, said: "If you look at trends in Asia, everybody is so busy, and it is all about being quick."

The masks are made from paper and already have proven a big hit in Korea, where they are used by many as part of their daily cleansing routine.

Dr Bav Shergill of expertbeauty.com recently commented that facials are increasingly viewed by many women as "an essential treatment".ADNFCR-2992-ID-801254877-ADNFCR
