Ladies have been told that laser hair removal, along with facials and a haircut, is now being viewed as an "essential treatment".
This is according to Dr Bav Shergill, who provides expert comment for expertbeauty.com and is the director for glowdermatology.com, who said: "It is a targeted treatment with minimal side effects that leads to a permanent reduction in hair density."
Dr Shergill also said that the procedure is now within the budget of many ladies at a time when beauty expectations are higher and extra hair is viewed as unwanted.
He added to those on laser hair removal courses that when women choose someone to perform the treatment on them, they should feel safe with that individual.
It has also been widely reported that a number of celebrities have decided to remove unwanted hair using laser hair removal treatment.
Alyssa Milano and members of the Kardashian family are just some of the famous faces to have tried the procedure.
