Learn make up tips for working with mature skin
Older ladies have specific skin care requirements. It is important for students on beauty courses to learn make up techniques that work for all skin types, but also to gain an understanding of how a client's age affects their requirements.

This is according to beauty expert France Baudet, who shared with her top tips with CosmeticNewsPortal to help aspiring make-up artists grasp the basics of working with mature skin.

Ms Baudet first of all urged those on beauty courses to avoid 'setting' makeup with too much loose powder, as it will settle into fine lines, adding to the signs of ageing.

"Avoid glitter and anything overtly shimmery when choosing makeup. Remember, it is not about looking younger, it is about confidence," she added.

The expert also noted how older clients' eyebrows may be sparser than those of a younger lady. In this instance, a soft pencil can be used to thicken the brows and frame the eyes, though she warned against anything "too dark or severe".

Meanwhile, Stylist magazine recently recommended L'Oreal's Aqua Curacao lipgloss which has a blue tint designed to make ageing teeth appear whiter.ADNFCR-2992-ID-800534695-ADNFCR
