Applying false lashes can at times be a work of art in itself and is something many women struggle to master, but Sara Strand, founder of POP Beauty, has some tips for a failsafe application for those in make up training.
Speaking to ASOS, she recommended a five step approach to the task. "Always position lashes before gluing to ensure they fit trim width and length accordingly. Apply liner close to the lash as a guide," she suggested as a first port of call.
She then recommends adding glue and allowing it to set for two minutes before positioning and then to fix them using tweezers, starting with the corner of the eye first.
To even out the line, Ms Strand recommended using liquid eyeliner and then to finish off with mascara for a natural finish, but warned that the wand should not be overloaded.
For mascaras, the magazine recommends Pixie's Voluptous Lashes, which contain plant algae to stimulate natural growth, or Diorshow's Iconic mascara.
