Make-up school students: Create the perfect pout
This summer is all about lips, defined, primed and brightly coloured, according to the experts.

According to James Molly, a senior make-up artist at MAC, speaking to ASOS, who added in their own tips, this season's focus for those in make-up training will be creating the perfect pout.

He said: "When I start a face I always apply a generous amount of balm to ensure that lips are super-hydrated by the time it comes to lipstick."

The next step is primer, which will help to give the lips some staying power, and then the magazine recommends applying a lip pencil around the outer edges, to ensure the colour does not bleed or feather.

For the finale, the on-trend colours for lips are dramatic, including matte reds and bold pinks and to finish off the look, dust a fine sheen of loose powder to eliminate 'all trace of shine'.

However, although bright lips are at the height of fashion, so are purple eyes with the likes of Versace and Dior, and for fans of both these looks, it may be wise to opt for one or the other.
