Georgia Collins, writing for Elle magazine, said neutral colours have continued to feature heavily in shows at London Fashion Week (LFW).

People thinking of joining make up school should look to the likes of Todd Lynn, Matthew Williamson and Hussein Chalayan's shows for inspiration, according to Ms Collins.

She explained that nude colours are ideal for those who do not feel brave enough to follow some of the other popular trends for spring and summer, such as heavy smoky eyes or bright shades for the lips.

Budding make up school students may also want follow the lead of Pat McGrath, who created the looks for Hussein Chalayan, pairing neutral pouts with false lashes and black eye liner for an "effortlessly chic and womanly" effect.

There seems to be a natural revival at the moment as the likes of Julian Macdonald and Matthew Williamson also went for minimalistic looks on their models at LFW.
