The nominations for the Achievement in Makeup Oscar have been announced ahead of the 84th Academy Awards.
Among the contenders are makeup artists Nick Dudman, Amanda Knight and Lisa Tomblin for their creations on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.
Meanwhile, Lynn Johnson, Martial Corneville and Matthew W Mungle have been nominated for their work on Albert Nobbs, in which Glenn Close plays a woman pretending to be a man in 19th-century Ireland.
The final nominees are J Roy Helland and Mark Coulier for The Iron Lady, which stars Meryl Streep as Britain's first female prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
Last year's award was taken home by Rick Baker and Dave Elsey for The Wolfman, which beat Adrien Morot for Barney's Version and Gregory Funk, Yolande Toussieng and Edouard F Henriques for The Way Back.
The 2012 Oscars will take place on Sunday February 26th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
