Makeup school news: Should lipstick be matched to nails?
Makeup school news: Should lipstick be matched to nails? Everyone is different when it comes to their beauty routine, as makeup school students will know, but Catherine McNeil who is on the September cover of Vogue has inspired us to start going for the matching look.

The Bella Sugar blog notes Ms McNeil's look, which consists of a cool top knot-style quiff with her brunette locks tonged at the bottom, but the most striking element of the photo is that she has matching lips and nails.

With both in a vivid red, she has sparked a mini discussion on the website as to whether or not the female population were already implementing this style.

In a poll, 40 per cent of people coordinate their hair, makeup and nails, with the same number stating that they hadn't before, but after seeing Catherine do it so well, they just might.

Only 20 per cent said they either haven't matched or wouldn't be doing so.

Is this destined to be a new trend or the reigniting of an old one?

The Australian model has featured in advertisements for D&G, Versace, Donna Karan and Jean Paul Gaultier.
