Makeup school students have been told that if their clients are looking to create younger-looking skin, then blusher is a must-have, guaranteed to "knock ten years off".
Annabel Meggeson from Stylist has reported on the growing trend of flushed cheeks, which was seen recently on the A/W 2010 catwalks from the likes of Pat McGrath, Dick Page and Gordon Espinet.
She spoke to some of the world's best when it comes to beauty, creating 'the first flushes of youth' is one of the swiftest ways of a younger-looking face.
"Blush makes skin look clearer and eyes brighter, so you can get away with wearing less makeup, and that looks youthful too," said MAC's head of makeup artistry, Terry Barber.
However, choosing the right shade is important, and according to the beauty commentator, the best way to ascertain your ideal colours is by pinching your cheeks and finding something that mimics it.
Makeup school students were also told by the news source that with regards to lips, it's out with the conventional reds and in with the orange.
