Makeup 'should complement not match'
Makeup 'should complement not match' Ladies looking for tips on how best to flatter a vibrant outfit have been advised to opt for cosmetics in shades that complement rather than match their attire.

In response to a Globe and Mail reader's query about selecting products in the same colours as a dress, celebrity makeup artist Bahar Niramwalla recommended mixing things up.

"Going matchy-matchy isn't necessarily a terrible idea when it comes to your makeup and wardrobe, but it can get a little boring," she stated.

Women were instead encouraged to be more adventurous, for example putting gold eye shadow with a navy dress, which is "both pretty and interesting".

It was noted that wearing the same vibrant colours on the eyes as featured in an outfit can lead to individuals standing out for all the wrong reasons.

In a separate article for the news source, Ms Niramwalla recently recommended removing makeup using non-oil based products, which are the most effective.
