Girls with dreams of working in a beauty salon will want to take note of the latest beauty trends and metallic makeup seems to be one of them at the moment.
Make-up expert Sue Moxley, writing for the Sun said that metallic makeup has moved from the catwalk to the high street, so is likely to be a look recreated in beauty salons up and down the country.
"Flawless skin, heavy metal hues and high, matted hair are key components of the sexy, steely style," she explained.
Ms Moxley said that the complexion needs to be "pale and interesting" for this trend, while smouldering eyes are also a "vital element".
Pale or neutral colours are best when it comes to the lips to set off the dramatic eyes, she continued.
Girls working in beauty salons will also find that black nail varnish is in demand as this is a key component to the metallic look, Ms Moxley added.
Make-up expert Jemma Kidd, writing in her column for the Daily Mail, recently suggested that green would be a big trend for 2010.
