Makeup artists may be more inclined to use mineral-based cosmetics after hearing one writer's comments about such products.
Female First's Jenna Fordie claimed that foundations made from natural minerals not only have benefits such as being chemical-free, but are also easier to apply.
She commented that this style of cosmetics last longer on the skin, as they are not greasy and so do not smear.
"Mineral makeup leaves you with a last healthy glow as it reacts to the pigments in your own complexion rather than simply adding a layer of liquid to the face," Ms Fordie stated.
Meanwhile, Australian Vogue writer Sigourney Cantelo recently remarked how such products remove the need for a touch-up between daytime and evening activities as the cosmetics allow the face to look flawless, without proving heavy.
It was also noted by the Sydney Morning Herald's Natasha Silva-Jelly that some mineral makeup provides sun protection as well as creating the appearance of a healthy glow.
