During warmer weather, beauty therapy students may be tempted to avoid using moisturisers for fear of giving clients greasy skin – but this is a common mistake.
According to becomegorgeous.com, moisturising products are "utterly effective" in providing the necessary hydration our skin requires and in some ways this is even more important when the mercury is rising. "High temperatures and sun rays, pollution, humidity [and] loss of water are some of the enemies of your skin. In every single one of these cases, a good moisturiser offers protection and nourishes the skin," the website explained. For naturally oily skin, beauty therapy students were advised to have an oil-free moisturiser in their kit, so that the nourishing qualities can get to work without risking an unattractive, shiny finish. Earlier this month, Stylist magazine recommended using Dolce & Gabbana's Luminous Cheek Colour in Sole, to give clients a desirable "healthy glow".
