Makeup artists looking to achieve a flawless, natural finish may be pleased to hear doing so is "very easy".
This is according to freelance beauty editor of Kiss and Makeup TV Zara Stone Rabinowicz, who described simple steps to a fresh-faced appearance.
She claimed that the key is to "go light" when applying eye and lip products as this keeps the look young.
Another tip was to "keep foundation dewy rather than matte" and to use a "light dusting of blusher and some powder to minimise shine".
Keeping eyebrows well defined was described as a good way to ensure a face is well-framed.
Finally, for a flawless base, Ms Rabinowicz said: "Get a foundation that blends with your skin tone ... and use a primer to help it stay longer.
A recent study by researchers at Boston and Harvard Universities on behalf of Procter & Gamble revealed that individuals are viewed as more trustworthy if they wear makeup.
