Some of the top makeup artists have listed their top product for makeup school students as primer, something which can work wonders on the face, body and lips.
Mac's senior artist Caroline Donnelly said a primer such as Mac's new Prep + Prime Line Filler will ensure that foundation remains streak free in the hot weather, when natural oils can cause havoc.
"By prepping beforehand, you use less foundation as your skin already looks better than in its untouched state," she said.

The ultimate of the summer beauty treatments is the fake tan, but freelance makeup artist Katherine Lucas recommended moisturising and exfoliating legs thoroughly from top to toe to prevent streakiness.
