Thinking of taking intensive makeup courses? Perhaps applying red lipstick is one the things you would be keen to learn.
Well here is some advice to get all you budding beauty gurus started before you embark on intensive makeup courses.
Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge, who counts Jade Jagger, Claudia Schiffer and Cameron Diaz among her clients, told Metro that the texture of the lipstick is an important consideration to start with.
"Sheer, glossy reds need a lot of upkeep with reapplication but look gentler," she explained to the newspaper.
"Matte is easier to maintain but you will draw a lot of attention," she added.
Preparation is also very important, Ms Eldridge said, recommending using a cotton bud with a tiny amount of lip balm on it to buff the lips and exfoliate away dry skin.
This is a trend which has been around for a while now, with Dior reinventing it again at its Paris Haute Couture show recently, where models' red lips were combined with bright eye colours.
