Reverse French manicure to be big beauty salon trend in 2010?
Reverse French manicure to be big beauty salon trend in 2010? The reverse French manicure could be a major feature of the UK beauty salon this year as it is one of the biggest trends to come off the catwalks this season.

Boots make-up artist Vanesa Guallar told the Daily Mail that the look can work with a variety of colours so "the options are endless".

Celebrities have also been quick to pick up on the trend, with the likes of Hilary Duff and Lauren Conrad sporting this reverse look.

Beauty salon aestheticians may find therefore there are plenty of requests for the manicure, which involves painting the moon, rather than the tip, in white and then sweeping a striking colour across the rest of the nail.

Ms Guallar told the newspaper that rich shades work best for this look, so beauty salon aestheticians may need to stock up on the likes of deep reds and striking navy blues.

Chanel's new nail polish, the mushroom-hued Particuliere shade, looks set to be one of the top manicure colours for this season, with the likes of Lila Allen and Sandra Bullock being seen wearing the varnish.
