If you're a budding makeup school student you are no doubt aware that the natural beauty look with minimal mascara, blusher and foundation is one of the top trends for spring.
But did you know that moisturiser is really important for achieving this effect?
Fashion stylist Holly Qatari told WFAA.com that preparing the skin is vital for the natural, minimalistic effect, which emerged from the catwalks of New York and London. Stella McCartney's show was just one that featured models with a pared-down look.
Ms Qatari said that if the complexion is glowing then the rest of the look will glow as well.
Another big beauty trend this spring that you'll no doubt be aware of as a budding makeup school student is the red lip.
Chris Mayes, of US department store Nordstrom, told the news provider that a way to make this look more casual is to apply the colour over the top of lip balm.
