Ladies eager to learn makeup skills may want to consider one expert's advice and try a new look this festive season.
Makeup artist Sarah Cogliati explained in an interview with the Huffington Post Canada, how Christmas is a great time of year to sample a new style.
She claimed "a small change" in the cosmetics women use "can rejuvenate us and make us feel great".
"If you're looking for more 'pop' in your Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve look, try adding false lashes," Ms Cogliati suggested.
It was noted they come in a variety of shapes and sizes with the most natural look achieved through using the individual hair options.
Alternatively, picking out a new eyeshadow palette or a "great lipstick" was described as a good way to modernise a tired look.
Beauty journalist and creator of goodthingsbeauty.com Alice Hart-Davis recently commented that finding the right lipstick is "largely a matter of trial and error".
