This summer, think fairytale
The theme for this summer is fun, fairytale and flirty, make up schoolstudents have been told.

Make up artist Kato Debian-Ellinger, the creator of Kato Makeup, told the Times Colonist that those in make up training should experiment with pastel colours this summer and take their inspiration from Alice in Wonderland.

She has worked with MAC, Christian Dior and St-Laurent Coiffure and is now focused on her new brand and offering tips on eyes, lips and cheeks to budding make up professionals.

"Look at the nice garden, natural flora, the flowers and the teapot," she recommended to the news provider.

"The bright colours found in those things such as fuchsia, pink, peach, soothing sea blue, purple, grey as well as nice warm browns and golds are influencing this summer's makeup."

When explaining how to create fairytale eyes, she suggested using a translucent cream eyeshadow as a base and to use lilacs, purples and pinks.
