A beauty expert has described the current trend for orange and how ladies can incorporate it into make-up styles.
Joanna McGarry, beauty director at Stylist, said that this shade is one that evokes happiness when used to learn make-up techniques with.
She said of the colour: "It's a burst of sunshine in a mottled grey sky. And it shows you have a confident knowledge of summer beauty trends without trying too hard."
Ms McGarry said that orange can be applied to lips, fingernails and also in the form of graphic orange eyes, which were seen on models at Derek Lam's spring/summer 2011 show.
She said that this look can be achieved by using a richly-pigmented orange powder eyeshadow with a wet brush to eyes lids.
The beauty guru also recommended that those wanting to try the orange trend get their hands on Lime Crime's My Beautiful Rocket Opaque Lipstick, Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Eyeshadow in Orange Crush, Illamasqua's Medium Pencil in Thrash and Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Laquer in Orange Creation.
Celebrities are also getting in on the trend, with Leighton Meester, Sienna Miller and Rachel McAdams all being spotted with orange lips.
