Women should beware of 'botched beauty treatments'
Women should beware of 'botched beauty treatments' Women, whether working in the beauty treatment industry or who like to indulge now and again, have been warned that there has been a rise in the number of 'botched beauty treatments' being carried out.

Wales Online has reported that there have been more beauty treatment companies set up, and according to professor Harryono Judodihardjo, the vice president of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, many of these are not properly regulated.

He explained that, in some cases, although Botox injections and laser treatments do require skilled technicians, in reality some companies are not training their staff.

"The public should not be afraid to ask for a practitioners' qualifications; their experience in carrying out specific procedures; they should demand a consultation with a qualified practitioner, not a salesperson and to walk out if they feel unhappy," he said to the news provider.

Mr Judodihardjo's words come as recent research from Mintel found that there has been a 15 per cent increase in the last year in the numbers of women and men trying out the injections for the first time.
